Large quantities of crude oil imported by the Chinese teapot refineries led to the explosion of unloading tankers in Qingdao port

As the purchase quantities of new Chinese oil importers which were also called the “teapot” refinery soared, unloading tankers in Qingdao port explored and the longest discharge time was delayed as long as one month, causing the high cost and increasing the difficulty to sell oil to China.

According to the data of port agency and ship tracking, this phenomenon led to the consequence that the unloading extension of Shandong Qingdao port tripled to 20-30 days. Qingdao Port was the main entry of these refineries.
