The research results of long-distance pipeline combustion drive station waste heat utilization being used by CNPC Pipeline Design Institute

After successfully applied in combustion drive compressor station of the second West-to-East gas pipeline and part of Central Asia A, B, C pipeline, today Pipeline Design Institute applies the research results of long-distance pipeline combustion drive station waste heat utilization to the waste heat utilization designs of combustion drive station in the middle of third West-to-East pipeline to provide more space and reduce more costs for waste heat utilization of the gas transmission station.

Up to now, 24 sets of waste heat boiler have been installed in the 12 stations of second West-to-East Pipeline by Design Institute to recycle the high temperature flue gas generated by the gas turbine. They use the waste heat boiler instead of gas-fired boiler for station heating and electric heater for heat tracing, saving annually 850 thousand cubic meters of natural gas and 20.1 million degrees of electricity. 18 sets of waste heat boiler are installed in 9 stations of Central A and B Line, which can save about 1.8 million cubic meters of natural gas per year and 16.2 million degrees of electricity. Central C Line 10 stations install a total of 19 sets of waste heat boiler, which can save 3 million cubic meters of natural gas per year and 18 million degrees of electricity.
