Natural gas imports of Xinjiang Port show a trend of increase in quantity and drop in price

From 2015 year to January 2016, natural gas imports of Xinjiang Port, relying mainly on Horgos Port, have been in the situation of increase in quantity and drop in price. Urumqi Customs statistics show that in 2015 natural gas imports in Xinjiang Port is 21.9301 million tons with an increase of 4.66% above that of the corresponding period of last year. The value is 50.464 billion yuan with a decrease of 20.81%. The importing average price is 2301.1 yuan per ton with a decrease of 24.34 percent.

While in January this year, Xinjiang Port imports 2.4698 million tons of natural gas with an increase of 19.05% above that of the corresponding period of last year. The value is 4.461 billion yuan with a decrease of 27.48%. The importing average price is 1806.2 yuan per ton with a decrease of 39.08 percent. It is reported that ninety percent of Xinjiang Port gas imports come from Turkmenistan, and the rest from Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which are almost all general trade imports. Pipeline transport is the main mode of transportation. The main imported variety is gaseous natural gas, dominated by state-owned enterprises.
