(ROSN.MZ) reported Monday a more than sevenfold rise in first quarter net profit on revenue that also grew, and said that it has reduced short term financial liabilities by 49% after repaying 1,027 billion Rubles ($16.6 billion) of debt. The Russian energy company made a net profit for the quarter of RUB81 billion, up from RUB11 billion a year earlier, on revenue that rose to RUB1,722 billion from RUB1,410 billion.
