Many of the world’s major energy companies have invested heavily in the petrochemicals space in recent years. Chemical companies currently consume some 12M barrels a day of oil and gas feedstocks like naptha, LPG and ethane, and will consume another 6M barrels by 2035, according Wood Mackenzie.
