The Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement said about 271.4 MMcf/d of gas was shut in as of 11:30 am CDT, 8.4% of normal Gulf gas output of 3.2 Bcf/d. That is down from 10.5% Saturday.
Personnel remained evacuated from 30 production platforms, or 4.1% of the 737 manned platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. That compares to 43 platforms Saturday.
