Mexico to Remove 2 Blocks from Next Oil Auction
Mexico’s energy ministry has asked regulators to exclude from the next oil auction two blocks in southern Chiapas state as the government continues efforts to persuade local indigenous communities to agree to the developments. That will leave the July 12 auction with 9 onshore blocks in gasfields of northeastern Mexico, and one in southern Tabasco state.
